November Parcel Tax Results
During 2011 there have been 27 school parcel taxes with eighteen measures passing and nine measures failing. Of the 18 successful measures, two were first time measures, seven measures were renewal of a past parcel tax at the same amount and nine measures extended a parcel tax at a higher amount. There were seven parcel tax measures scheduled for a November 8th election.
Burlingame Elementary, 2,673 students

Measure passed with 67.6% Yes votes. Passed a parcel tax of $180 in 2010 for ten years.
Las Virgenes Schools, 11,644 students

General Fund Revenues (09/10): $87 million

Measure failed with 56.3% Yes votes. An existing parcel tax of $98 remains in effect through 2015.
Mammoth Unified, 1,126 students

Measure passed with 73.8% Yes votes. Renews an existing parcel tax for the same amount.
Pacific Grove Unified, 1,766 students

Opposition: One citizen (commentary)
Measure passed with 68.8% Yes votes. Replaces an expiring parcel tax of $96 passed in 2008.
Palos Verde Peninsula Unified, 11,886 students

Annual Amount to be Generated: $7.2 million
General Fund Revenues (09/10): $89 million
Opposition: No organized opposition
Measure passed with 68.3% Yes votes. Replaces an existing parcel tax of $165.
Tamalpais Union, 3,810 students
- Parcel Tax Amount: $238.78 with 3% increase
Duration: 10 years
Annual Amount to be Generated: $8.5 million
General Fund Revenues (09/10): $57 million

Measure passed with 72.4% Yes votes. Renews an existing parcel tax of $238.78.
